Reorganzing

We went to Charlotte for the weekend.  Henry went to see Lee's grandparents on Saturday.  Henry decided to reorganize BB's bookshelf.  What a mess!!!

Henry loves to dance!  When we turn on music or start singing, Henry starts bobbing his head and dancing.  Below is a video of him dancing in the car.  

11 Months!

                                         

11months!!! Where oh where has the time gone? I can't believe Henry will be a year in a few short weeks!

Size-  Henry weighs about 20-21 lbs. He is wearing 12 month outfits. Henry is in size 3 diapers.

Development-  Henry is officially a walker. He has been taking steps since 9 1/2 months but at 10 1/2 months he made the transition. He has pretty much stopped crawling. He falls a lot but I must say he is very persistent because he stands right back up and starts walking again no matter how many times he has fallen.

With his new walking skill comes lots of climbing. He climbs up on boxes, shelves, anything...

He loves to shake his head up and down and side to side.

Henry has 8 teeth.

He is babbling a lot right now.

Personality- Henry remains to be our active and social baby!  You are so full of energy and keep us on our toes! We love your giggles and smiles.

Eating- Henry is eating solids at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He also has a snack or two a day. He is eating mostly finger foods. He is breastfed or has a bottle 4 times per day. He is getting better at drinking from the sippy cup. He loves carrying his snack trap around.

Sleeping-  Henry takes 2 naps a day that are 1 1/2 hours each.  At night, he is sleeping about 11- 11 1/2 hours. Bedtime is around 7:30 most nights.

Likes/dislikes- Henry loves to dance and listen to music. When you turn on music or start signing he starts bobbing his head and dancing.  He likes to back up his bottom intro things to sit down on. He likes being outside. Henry is fascinated by water, especially the shower and toilet. He likes to climb. He loves to eat sand...yummy!

He still hates being changed. He doesn't like to sit still. Henry doesn't like to be left alone.

Milestones/Firsts- Henry started walking at 10 1/2 months. He went into the ocean for the first time.

Cackling with Lawson

Lawson's favorite thing to do is play ball outside.  Henry pulled out Lawson's ball and the Sling Shot to play with.  Of course, Lawson thought she was going outside to play ball but Henry had no intention of going outside.  He just wanted to tempt Lawson with the ball and he thought is was hilarious!  So funny to listen to Henry laugh.  Poor Lawson!

Water Fun with Jackson

Henry loves playing with Jackson, who lives down the street, and is about 17 months old.  They are becoming best buds.  We were going out for a walk and Henry couldn't resist joining Jackson for some water fun.  Notice Henry has his clothes on.  Oh well, at least they had a good time, right?

Peek-A-Boo!!

10 Months Old

I can't believe we are now in the double digits!!  This little man keeps getting busier and busier daily. He is the love of all our lives!!

Size-  Henry weighs about 20 lbs. He is wearing 9 and 12 month outfits. Henry is in size 3 diapers.

Development-  Henry started taking steps by himself. He takes anywhere from 3-6 steps. He took his first steps at the gym daycare. Miss Brenda came running out to tell me so I could go watch him.  Henry can now stand alone for longer periods of time. I am sure he will be an official walker in no time at all.

He pulls up on everything and cruises around the furniture. He is developing pretty good balance and can stand alone for a few seconds. Henry discovered the stairs this month and likes to crawl up them. He has no idea how to get down them.

He has 6 teeth now and a few more on the way.

He started saying "mama" and I love hearing it. He said it for about one week straight. Over and over again and then he completely stopped saying it. I hope he says it again soon.

Personality- Henry is still as active as ever. He is a mover and shaker. He is always scanning the room to see what he can get into next. He is a very happy baby. He smiles and laughs at others.

Sleeping-  Henry's sleep schedule is all over the place. He has been waking up at all different times. It seems to change daily. Most days he takes 2 naps that are 1 1/2 hours each.  At night, he is sleeping about 11- 11 1/2 hours. Bedtime is around 7:30 most nights.

Likes/dislikes- Henry loves eating. He eats most anything. He seeks out cords to put in his mouth. He loves to ride on his cars. He loves anything related to the toilet- flushing, pulling up the seat, etc.

He does not like having his nails clip.


Milestones/Firsts- Henry tooke his first steps at Fitness World's daycare. He said "momma" for the first time. He had his first ear infection- poor baby!

Our walker...

Henry took his first official steps not with us but at his second home, Fitness World, the gym I go too (he was 9 1/2 months).  Miss Brenda came running out to get me so I could watch him. He was about 9 1/2 months old when he took his first steps.  Since then he has taken 2-4 steps at a time.  He is by no means a walker yet but is definitely getting there.  Yesterday, Lee got some good videos of Henry walking (10 months).

Eating Every Last Bite

Yesterday at lunch, Henry had a hotdog for the first time. His bib has what we call a "catcher" attached to it.  He finished his hotdog and wanted to make sure he got all of it out of his catcher.  Do you think he liked the hotdog?????

Happy Father's Day

H is into everything....

I went to the bathroom this morning and when I came out this is how I found Henry.  

Once we made it down stairs for breakfast, he continued exploring...

It's nonstop with Henry!! But so much fun!!! I wouldn't have it another way. 

8 Month Photo Shoot

This photo shoot was an ordeal to pull off.  It was supposed to be Henry's 6 month pictures but then I decided to wait to do the pictures until he was sitting up on his own.  Henry didn't sit for long periods of time by himself at 6 months.  So, once he was sitting, we had a date set but then Henry proceeded to get several cuts and bruises on his face.  He is definitely all boy!! We decided to postpone the shoot until his face was clear.  We set a second date and then that day came and went without a shoot because of rainy weather.  We then set a third date, which we were able to make work.  We headed to the beautiful Duke Gardens for some pictures.  Henry did great but next time we will need to remember to bring a rattle so that we can get Henry to look up for the pics.  Thank you, Jeff Massey.
