Loving my toes!!

Henry has discovered his toes and he can't let go of them.  It was Pop Pop's birthday so we made a sign for him.  I tired so hard to get Henry to smile but he was so focused on his toes.  Henry held them and stretched them.  He looks like a little yogi!

1st Attempt at Rice Cereal.....Fail

At Henry's 4 month check up, we received the go ahead to begin Rice Cereal.  Lee and I were so excited that we ran out that afternoon to pick some up.  It seemed a bit runny so next time we will use less milk.  Henry was definitely not excited about the rice cereal.  His facial expressions of disgust let us know that he did not like it.  Next time, we will try a little apple juice mixed in to see if he likes it more.   I hope so!

Cousin Time

Last weekend, Henry and I went to Charlotte.  Friday, we were able to spend some time with Tara and Reese.  Reese is Lee's cousin, John's, daughter.  So, I guess that makes Henry and Reese cousins too.  Reese is 2 1/2 weeks younger than Henry.  We were so excited to get them together.  We made them pose in their adorable holiday attire.  We can't wait to spend more time with them during the holidays.  Tara and I are going to make them be best friends!
First, I am going to grab your arm.

Then, I am going to eat your arm.

Finally, I am going to celebrate!

Get him off of me!

Stop taking our pictures! We have had enough!!

Chatterbox

Henry has found his voice! He is talking up a storm.  It is so fun to talk back to him.  I wonder who he takes after??????   He has also learned how to get our attention if we aren't paying him enough attention.  He lets out loud shrills that Lee says sound like a girl.  Yesterday morning, Lee was upstairs sleeping and Henry was so loud that he woke up Lee.  Lee came downstairs to check on us to make sure everything was okay.  Henry and I got in trouble for having so much fun.  Sorry, dad!

Ho Ho Ho

Mimi bought Henry an adorable Santa Clause outfit.  Of course, we had to take a million pictures of our little Santa Clause.
What am I wearing?

Not loving being Santa

Happy Santa Clause!

Christmas Card Outtakes

Sweet Henry has had to put up with a lot from his momma.  I continually dress him up and make him pose for the camera.  For our Christmas card, I wanted to take some pictures of Henry in a wrapped present under the tree.  So, I put the sweet boy dressed in a Santa hat inside a red box under the Christmas tree and started clicking away.  He is always the perfect model for my sessions.  Thank you, Henry, for putting up with me.
What is going on here?

Not so sure about this

Meeting Santa for the First Time

Lucy, Lee, and Lila (the little girl I watch) invited us to Hope Valley Country Club for lunch with Santa.  We of course said yes and were thrilled to meet Santa without having to wait in long lines at the mall.  Henry was super and did not cry.  I am sure next year will be a different story.  We even managed to get both babies on Santa's lap for some pretty cute pics.  Thank you, Lucy and Lee for inviting us.  We had a  great time!!!

A Baby's Best Friend

Henry is starting to notice Lawson more and more.  He loves watching Lawson when he is on his tummy doing tummy time.  Lawson is much more interesting than his toys.  Henry is beginning to reach out and grab onto Lawson.  Lawson better watch out because Henry has a nice grip! I am sure Lawson will grow to love Henry more when Henry starts eating....

"Get your dirty paws off my mat!"

"What are you looking at?"

Henry's First UNC Game

Henry went to his first UNC basketball game!!!  He was wonderful!  He enjoyed every minute of it that he only fell asleep for 15 minutes.  He is jut like his momma in that he doesn't want to miss anything!!  He sat on daddy's lap most of the time and cheered on the Heels to victory!  I am sure he will be attending many more games.  Go Heels!

The Adventures of Henry and Lila

I have decided not to return to teaching this school year.  I have the option of returning in August.  I am staying home with Henry, which I am thrilled about!!!  In addition to Henry, I am keeping another infant, Lila.  Henry and Lila are 12 days apart so I feel like I have twins.  Life with two babies has not been nearly as crazy as I thought it would be.  They have been very easy babies so far.  I hope our lives continue to run as smoothly as they have been.  Of course, three month old babies don't interact too much but they have been cute together.  They enjoy staring at each other and occasionally talking to each other.  Henry has a new found interest in grabbing things so poor Lila has had to deal with him.  If they are next to each other, Henry can normally be found holding on to Lila.  She is sweet to tolerate him now.

"Lila, where are you going?"

"What's up?"
