Again- I know I am behind but I am trying to catch up. So, we celebrated Thanksgiving here in D-Town and it wonderful! It was the first time in my life that I was not in Charlotte for Thanksgiving. Lee had to work Thanksgiving so my family came up to join us. Mom, Dad, Katie, Bradley, Haley, and Brad drove up from Charlotte on Thursday morning. We were so glad to have Joseph, a resident with Lee, join us for dinner. Mom did most of the cooking. We had sooo much food: sweet potato casserole, broccoli casserole, cranberry apple casserole, dressing, cranberry cause, beef tenderloin, turkey, cornbread, bread pudding, and pecan pie. It was all so yummy. Mom decided that we would be different this year and have something special for dinner, beef tenderloin, on Thanksgiving. When I told Lee it was a bit shocked. A Thanksgiving without turkey- he was not no sure about that. Well, Brad was a little traumatized by mom's decision as well so he decided that we had to have a turkey too. So, we had beef tenderloin and turkey, which made everyone happy. Lee ended up getting off very early. He was home by 1:00. We had a great time with visiting with everyone. Henry did his normal thing- eat, play, and sleep. He was enjoyed by all during his short wake/play times. Next year, little Henry will be able to enjoy his first turkey with us!
Since we weren't able to make it to Charlotte for Thanksgiving, Mimi and Aunt Ashley came to visit on Friday. We loved having them visit. Henry was a little fussier than normal on Saturday but we still managed to have a good visit. Could the fussiness be to teething????
