Henry's Baptism

Henry's Baptism was held on February 19th, it was an incredibly special day for our family.  We presented Henry to the Lord and in front of our family and friends, we promised to teach him about God and the bible.  We promise to surround Henry in faith. Henry was baptized in the same church that Lee was baptized in and he wore the same the outfit that Lee wore.  We will always remember this special memory!

After the service, we held a luncheon at our home to celebrate the occasion. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I did get a picture of the delicious cake.

Happy Valentine's Days!!

Henry experienced his first art project, which turned out like this:

We were attempting to make daddy a Valentine.  Obviously, it did not go as planned.  I tired to use paint to fingerprint his hands and foot.  Paint, what was I thinking?????  The next day, I got smart and tried a stamp pad.  Things were much smoother with the stamp pad.  Here is the final product:

Weekend Recap

Lee has started a new rotation so he now has the weekends off!!! Henry and I enjoyed having him home with us all weekend! Lee's college roommate, Hunter, and his girlfriend, Amanda, came to visit us this weekend.  They went to the game with us on Saturday.

We have decided that Henry is an undefeated Tarheel fan.  The Tarheels have won every game that he has been too.  He did not attend the Duke game and they lost.  Henry is a good luck charm!

Saturday night, we had Bryson, Lauren, Brooks, Amanda, and Hunter over for dinner.  We had a blast watching Brooks and Henry interact.  Normally, Henry is the aggressive one in their relationship but not last night.  Brooks was definitely seeking revenge.  Henry will get him back next time.  Watch out, Brooks!

A New Way to Sit

As I have mentioned before, Henry does not like to be in the reclining position.  He wiggles to either get out or to try to sit upright.  If he is right next to me in the bouncy seat then I do not fasten him in so he can move around and be happy.  I just have to watch him like a hawk.  Yesterday, I was drying my hair and this is how Henry figured out how to get himself on the floor in a sitting position. Once he is sitting, he smiles with excitement at his achievement.

Reese's Baptism

Henry and I went to Charlotte this past weekend for Reese's baptism.  Henry and Reese are about 3 weeks apart.  Reese did a great job during the church service.  I can't believe it but she actually fell asleep during the sermon.  I don't think wild man, Henry, will be doing that at his baptism in a few weeks.  After the service, we went to their house for a lovely luncheon.
