And We're Approaching Launch Day...

Well- we've made it to 38 weeks! The 100-degrees temperatures sure aren't fun with an extra 20-something pound ball in the belly but we're very close...Weekly doctor visits now. Our "hospital bags" are packed and the nursery is setup and ready for "baby H"!

Baby's Dropping

I have been at the beach so I am sorry for the delay in posting pics.  According to my aunts, I have dropped since being at the beach.  I guess that means we are getting closer to Baby H's arrival.  What do you think??

32 Weeks Down!

Only 8 more weeks to go....Ashley is doing great! Had a check up at the doctor this past week and everything continues to look good. Heart rate in the 140s, belly measuring exactly as it should, and the baby is positioned head down (thanks, yoga!).
We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers for a healthy mom and healthy baby.

Classroom Shower

My sweet class threw me a shower the week before school got out.  We enjoyed yummy cake, played Baby Bingo, and guessed the sex of the baby.  The majority of my class thinks we are having a girl but I believe it is a boy.  We will see who is correct in August... Many presents were opened for Baby H.  Thanks to my wonderful room moms for putting on such a great celebration!

Cedar Fork Shower

My third grade team threw me a wonderful baby shower. They created a delicious spread of food. Baby H was showered with many gifts! 

Baby Shower Weekend!

Our house was rocking this weekend for a wonderful baby shower thrown and attended by awesome friends and family! We feel so blessed and the excitement continues to build. (managed to take a baby bump picture with Tara, wife of Lee's cousin John. Their baby is due a little over one month after ours!)

FOURTH QUARTER!!

Yep, that's right- we're past the 3/4th mark with the arrival of Week 30 this past Thursday. Hard to believe there will be a baby Sigmon in about 10 weeks (more or less...)!

We headed to Charlotte this past weekend for the marriage of our best friend, Anna, and her wonderful new husband, Scott. It was a blast! Ashley LOVES being the sober one....

Supper Club Baby Shower...

A little belated post- but our dear friends in the supper club threw the Sigmons and the Powells a baby shower back in April. Complete with the guys trying to put a diaper on a stuffed animal... 

Week 29...Third Trimester has arrived!

Hey everybody- we've made it this far- third trimester is upon us...
Had a great OB visit- belly measuring exactly for 29 weeks and "baby H" has a heart rate in the 140s...

So we ventured down to Athens, Georgia this past weekend for the wedding of Ashley's cousin, Haley, and her new husband, Brad. It was a blast! Ashley was a bridesmaid and decided to take some pics in her various bridesmaid attire....

Week 28 comin' at you

So...the baby names are- Henry Brinkley Sigmon (if it's a boy) and Hallie Brinkley Sigmon (if it's a girl).
All are family names- more discussion to follow!

(Belated) 27 Weeks...

So we're running a little behind on the posts here- had to get 27 weeks in before 28 weeks arrives tomorrow!

Between Ashley heading to Georgia for her cousin's law school graduation (congratulations, Blade!) and Lee heading to the beach for an internal medicine intern retreat...there was no one around to blog

"Baby H"- as our little one has affectionately become known- has kicked the movement into high gear in the last week...Ashley is really starting to feel it. Exciting and amazing.

Baby Names!

Yep-we've decided on baby names...one for a girl and one for a boy...HBS will be the initials. "S" is for Sigmon....stay tuned!

Week 26 bump. The little one is starting move alot more now- very exciting!

The Big 2-5...weeks, that is.

Still feeling great. Back a little tight and sore at times but the body pillow at night helps. Think we've decided on a boy's name and a girl's name...stay tuned!

The Nursery

After lots of hours of design work by Mrs. Moody and Ashley and a few days of painting and constructing by Lee, the nursery is taking shape. Our upstairs dark green colored, UNC memorabilia laden study has been transformed into a cucumber green, light, happy home for our baby. The crib has been put together and our kind friends from supper club provided us with the video monitoring system. We researched mattresses using Baby Bargains book and our Colgate Classica Mattress is on its way in the mail...
